It all began in the heart of Provence, in a bright family kitchen filled with the scent of fresh herbs and simmering vegetables.

Odette, the mother, loved to cook. Her tapenades, olive spreads and Provençal dishes were legendary among family and friends. Every market day, her sons Éric and Philippe would proudly bring her recipes to life, serving generous spoonsful of sunshine to the locals and curious travellers who wandered through the markets of the South of France.

The secret was simple: good vegetables, ripe olives, and the warmth of a family who loved to share.

The success was immediate. What started as a few jars on a market stall quickly grew into something much greater — a shared taste of Provence.

In 1993, driven by passion and the dream to preserve this authentic savoir-faire, Éric joined forces with Albert Mayans to create Les Délices du Luberon. The small family kitchen became a modern workshop — and then a factory — where traditional recipes met contemporary excellence.

Today, Méditéa carries on that same spirit. Behind every jar lies the story of a team bound by the same values: creativity, quality, and love of the Mediterranean.

The team works hand in hand with renowned chefs, expert consultants, and creative partners to imagine new flavours that respect their Mediterranean roots while inspiring today’s culinary trends.
