Description
Made in Alsace, Munster is France's most famous washed rind cheese with a pungent smell but a smooth soft melting interior rich with savoury milky flavours.The fresh cheese is rubbed with a solution of rock salt and water, preventing the appearance of mould and giving the cheese, a shiny, brick-coloured rind. Protected by an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC).
This rich cheese pairs perfectly with Alsace wines such as Gewurztraminer, Riesling or Pinot Gris.
