Made in Alsace, with unpasteurized cow’s milk.
Munster is France’s most famous washed rind cheese and has a pungent smell, but a smooth soft melting interior, rich with savoury milky flavour.
The freshly formed cheese is rubbed with a solution of rock salt and water, preventing the appearance of fluffy mould, and producing a shiny
brick-coloured edible savoury rind.
Protected by and Appelation d’Origine Controlée (AOC).
This rich cheese pairs very well with Alsace wines such as Gewurztraminer, Riesling or Pinot Gris.
